Principal Dancer – Thüringer Staatsballett (Germany)
International Principal Guest Artist
Co-founder of INTO DANCE

Early Life
Born in Taranto, Italy, Giordano began his training at age nine in Rome with Yang Yu-Lin at the Centro Promozione Danza. He later trained with Gaetano Petrosino and Luc Bouy before being accepted into the prestigious Accademia Nazionale di Danza in 2007. In 2009, he was awarded the Anita Bucchi Prize at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, alongside a scholarship to the Royal Ballet School in London. Giordano furthered his training at the John Neumeier Ballet School in Hamburg and the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden.

Career Beginnings
In 2012, Giordano joined the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre Ballet in Ostrava, rising to the rank of First Soloist. His 2016 performance as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream earned him a Thalia Award nomination for Best Male Dancer. His career then spanned major European stages, including the Arena di Verona and projects led by the legendary Carla Fracci, followed by lead roles with the Greek National Opera Ballet in 2018.

International Artist
In 2021, Giordano joined the State Ballet of Georgia as First Soloist under Nina Ananiashvili, performing internationally in places such as Dubai, Spain, and Italy. In 2023, Giordano transitioned to an international freelance career as a Principal Guest Artist and guest teacher, sharing his knowledge worldwide. He has performed at galas in Japan, Indonesia, and beyond, including a guest appearance in Don Quixote with the Bangkok City Ballet. That same year, he received the Premio Capri Danza International Award. Currently, he serves as a Principal Guest Artist with TAM Ballet Milano and, as of September 2025, joined the Thüringer Staatsballett in Germany as a Principal Dancer under the direction of Vitaly Petrov.

INTO DANCE
Giordano’s commitment to the future of the art form led him to co-found INTO DANCE in 2024 alongside his wife, Ruika Yokoyama – an acclaimed International Principal Guest Artist and fellow Principal Dancer at the Thüringer Staatsballett. Together, Giordano and Ruika organise global galas, masterclasses, and auditions, creating vital opportunities for the next generation of dancers.
